The Bailuzhou Park (the Egret Island Park), located behind the Confucius Temple of Nanjing, was re-opened to the public on June 26th, after one year around reconstruction.
The new schedule for the park is 6:00 - 17:00, Monday to Sunday, and the fee for entering is 20 Yuen/person. The renovated park includes a water-side entertainment facility that costs 80 Yuen/person for entrance fee. The park was originally a private garden/residential hall in Yuan and Ming dynasties (581 - 618 AD) and became a public park in 1950s. There are lots of architechtures in the park, left from these ancient Chinese dynasties.
The park is very close to the Qinhuai River and Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple). |
