The university has four campuses, in which three of them are located in the urban area of the city of Nanjing, including the Sanpailou, the Xianlin and the Xiaoxing campuses. The fourth campus is situated in Wujiang City, under the jurisdiction of Suzhou. The university has been ranked in the top 100 in all China universities since the early of 1990s.
NUPT can be classified as a polytechnic and has 12 schools. The number of the registered students reaches 20,000 in total in 2006. The university has established an international cooperation network with 14 universities from UK, USA, Russia, Germany and Canada. There are high demands for the university’s graduates and the employment rate for them reaches almost 100%.
The current university president, Dr. Zheng Yang, is a professor and an outstanding scientist in the field of information management. |
