Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST, 南京理工大学) was founded in 1953 by merging a number of departments of Military Engineering Institute of Liberation Army. It is situated in the east suburbs of Nanjing. With well-established programs in science and technology, the university offers both students and professors exciting and unique opportunities for research, education, and international collaboration. In the published Chinese University Ranking 2003-5, compiled by netbig.com, this university was ranked 41st on the list among 686 selected Chinese universities.
With a long-standing reputation, NUST comprises fourteen schools and departments, and provides more than 110 master, doctoral, and postdoctoral programs to its enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. There are over twenty prominent research centers and laboratories offering diverse opportunities to research and teaching faculties of the university. Furthermore, the university is running a number of military science and technology programs for national defence.
NUST has established extensive exchange and cooperation programs with national and international institutes, and accepts international students and visitors for academic study and collaboration. |
